Comme un poisson dans les flammes follows 12-year-old Matthew Pleutrin, nicknamed for his lack of courage. From his bedroom window, Matthew watches the world with curiosity and fear — afraid of balls, outdoor adventures full of spiders and mud, bossy adults, and above all, water.
